    Personal Assistant to Sales Director (Permanent position)

    Oxford University Press is looking for a Personal Assistant that will be responsible to provide efficient, professional and customer-focused administrative support to the Sales Director and the team.

    • Personal Assistant will be reporting to the Sales Director. This post is based in Cape Town, Goodwood office.

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Administrative support services provided to facilitate productivity of the Sales Director and the Sales Team
    • Manage diaries effectively
    • Coordinate travel arrangements
    • Coordinate training and events
    • Provide secretarial relief to Senior Managers when required
    • Process payments timeously
    • Process tenders to enhance orders
    • Manage information flow in a timely manner

    Requirements
    Qualifications and Experience

    • Certificate in Office Management or equivalent
    • 3 – 5 years’ secretarial function on an executive level 
    • Experience of diary management/research and booking of travel and accommodation
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint at intermediate level
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
    • Planning and organizing skills
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work to deadlines

    • Excellent organisational skills, ability to multi-task and organise resources
    • Excellent oral and written skills and ability to professionally represent the executive’s office
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to professionally represent the Executive's office
    • Demonstrates complete confidentiality and is seen to be trustworthy.
    • Able to filter information, recognize what is urgent and important and priorities effectively
    • Has a good understanding of the business and able to proactively draw information required from a variety of sources within Oxford and externally
    • Ability to function well in high paced and at times high pressure environment
    • Attention to detail and deadlines and follows up on all administrative tasks
    • Has a comprehensive understanding of digital platforms and has an advanced knowledge of business specific software packages
    • Demonstrates flexibility and is able to adapt to continuous changes; keeps up to date with new technology relevant to being more efficient in the role
    • Is courteous and friendly at all times and displays a willingness to assist the team with their administrative tasks
