Working Purpose:

As RP you will ensure the effective operation of the pharmacy and clinic and to promote excellence by providing guidance to the operational team in order to deliver high standards of healthcare and achieve sales and compliance goals, which will provide a competitive advantage for the pharmacy.

Work Goals:

• Evaluation of patient's medication-related needs by determining the indication, safety and efficacy of the therapy.
• Accurately interprets prescriptions and acts in a professional and responsible manner, within the legal requirements in accordance with the SAPC.
• The composition, manipulation, preparation or packaging of any medicine or scheduled substance, or its supervision.
• Stay abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensing
• Process all paperwork for accurate submission of claims to medical aid funds
• Facilitate stocktaking
• Exercise inventory, cash and asset control
• The effective management and control of all pharmacy operations, including safe and responsible inventory management, shrinkage, general housekeeping and administration in line with merchandise, SAPC regulations and company standards.
• Ensure the operational viability of the pharmacy through sound financial management, focus on core pharmacy and clinical targets, expense management and proactively appropriate action as required.
• Lead and motivate employees.
• Manage customer service initiatives in the pharmacy that will lead to good customer experience and customer loyalty.
• Support the Group's vision to ensure 'Health and Happiness' to all customers through exceptional service and product offering.

Candidate Requirements:

Necessary:

• Registered pharmacist with the SAPC
• Independent Retail Pharmacy experience
• Unisolve experience
• Ethical work practice and compliance
• Knowledge of inventory, cost, risk and compliance management procedures
