A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, registration with South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) and current proof of annual fee payment.
A minimum of four years’ experience after registration as a pharmacist.
Knowledge of supply chain management, financial management, HR management and legislations relating to the provision of pharmaceutical services.
A valid driver’s license. Must be able to work under pressure.
Ability to interact with key stakeholders within and outside the Department.
Must be a team player. Public service experience will be an added advantage with an experience in the management of a pharmacy.
Duties :
Manage procurement of medicines in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act, National Treasury regulations and Provincial Policies. Provide an oversight of inventory management in compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
Effectively promote rational drug. Manage and monitor medicine budget. Ensure compliance of the pharmacy with relevant legislation and adherence to Good Pharmacy Practice. Support the facility with the implementation of the Dablapmeds program and compliance with Ideal Clinic prescripts.
Initiate and participate in the provision of health care education and information to the public and health professionals.
Ability to register as the responsible pharmacist of a CHC and provide a quality cost effective service.
