Description

• Conduct research in the field for long and extensive hours.
• Plan and co-ordinate research with single or multi-disciplinary team.
• Data capturing, analysis, interpretations and recommendations.
• Analytical problem solving.
• Disseminate technology through peer-reviewed scientific articles. 
• Regularly provide feedback (verbal/written) on work activities to supervisor.
• Comply with health and safety, and risk procedures.

Requirements

• MSc degree (NQF level 9) in Biotechnology.
• Candidate will register for PhD in 2026 academic year.
• Candidate who is currently busy with Masters degree must complete the programme before the end of 2025.  
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good presentation skills.
• Good knowledge of Agriculture, Biotechnology and/or Biochemistry will be an added advantage.
• Experience in conducting research on medicinal plants, especially Pelargonium sidoides will be an added advantage.
• Ability to do physical work.
• Great learning capability.
• A valid driver’s license.
