    Planner: New Stores

    Introduction

    • Maximise trading opportunities in new stores and modernisation / extensions by providing accurate forecasts of customer demand through management by exception. Optimise inventory management through the supply chain and store catalogues within defined parameters.

    Job description

    • Maximise the trading opportunities within the product categories for new and extension stores and deliver to a set of KPIs. 
    • Review and report on performance against scorecards and implement improvement strategies/levers.
    • Project management of New Store openings/ Modernisations/ Extension or closures.
    • Communicate and integrate with all key stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure objectives are aligned to achieve Sales, Availability and profitability KPIs for Foods. 
    • Provide input and influence the replenishment processes and key inventory levers. 
    • Provide input and influence product assortment and space displays in stores to optimise rate of sale and profitable availability. 
    • Conduct and share effective reporting and analysis to optimise performance and consider the risks and opportunities in the development of future plans.
    • Build relationships with stores to drive effective in store process management. 
    • Continuous improvement of processes and ways of working to drive efficiencies and sustainable best practices.

    Job Requirements

    • 3 to 5 years planning experience in FMCG
    • Stores' experience would be an advantage
    • Relevant Degree - Retail or business related tertiary qualification would be an advantage
    • Travelling will be required and may be required to work weekends where necessary
    • Computer literacy and competent excel skills
    • Ability to work in a matrix structure
    • Valid Driver's licence
