Plant Manager at RPO Recruitment

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring workforce availability, production planning, and smooth logistics.
• Manage maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and plant infrastructure while ensuring stock levels for consumables.
• Monitor production efficiency, quality control, and safety compliance to meet operational targets.
• Ensure proper record-keeping for production, sales, dispatch, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise staff performance, training needs, and adherence to company policies and health & safety regulations.
• Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and statutory requirements, including licensing and regulatory checks.
• Identify areas for process improvement, asset protection, and cost efficiency while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Tertiary qualification in Management, Production, or Logistics (advantageous).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar plant management role.
• Working knowledge of Employment Equity, Occupational Health & Safety, SHE, and BCE Legislation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage time effectively.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Team player with a proactive approach to leadership.
