Plant Operator at AECI Limited

Job Description

• Prepare batch start-up, ensuring plant section safety and proper documentation.
• Manufacture blends in blenders and reaction batches in reactors.
• Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Communicate accurate information to Team Leaders and Laboratory personnel.
• Safely isolate plant and equipment during maintenance following relevant procedures.
• Stencil polycans and label all packaging containers.
• Load and offload tankers.
• Transfer products to and from storage tanks.
• Monitor effluent levels.
• Manage and separate waste materials.
• Operate a forklift and hoist.
• Conduct risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12
• Chemical Operations NQF 3
• Forklift licence
• 3 years’ experience in a chemical plant
• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work shifts.
