Platform Lead Africa at Rand Merchant Bank

The Africa Infotech Platform Lead will manage and support a team of support analysts, environment managers and quality assurance analysts to ensure that delivery is aligned to business requirements and that best-fit and sustainable solutions are applied.
Responsibilities

•        Responsible for resource management and the allocation of work based on priorities.
•        Negotiation of contracts, rates and license and support fees.
•        Performance management and career development of team members.
•        Lead the team and create a roadmap for area where it is clear what functionality moves on to the new Murex platform and which are executed on other platforms.
•        Ensure that the AI Technology requirement for technology improvements to existing platforms and toolsets are prioritized e.g. Upgrades and Maintenance tasks.
•        Liaise and maintain healthy working relationships with the various First Rand Segments, Subsidiaries and RMB Divisions /Departments.
•        Keep abreast of all changes within the Africa Banking environment and assist with impact analysis on the applications you support. Adapt and/or recommend solutions that cater for these changes.
•        Adopt a broad, long-term perspective.
•        Have a strategic mindset when designing solutions that enable standardization and efficiency.
•        Contribute to the success of the team; co-operate with other employees to improve personal and team performance.

Technical Analysis and design

•        Have a working understanding of the underlying platform.
•        Optimization and enhancement platform execution.

Additional Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

•        B.SC/Com Degree
•        7+ years of work experience
•        3 years minimum leading a team preferred
•        Have a good grasp of technologies when it comes to:
•        Integration
•        Reporting
•        Databases
•        Corporate and Investment banking experience is preferable
•        Oracle and SQL DB experience
•        Must have managed cross functional delivery teams
