    Pricing and Portfolio Manager

    About the role

Our Financial Actuaries are on the frontlines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance and reserving losses for AIG’s major regulated and rated insurance operating companies globally. Portfolio Analytics and Pricing Actuaries support AIG’s businesses and are responsible for technical pricing, product development analytics and performance measurement. They collaborate with Marketing, Operations and Financial Management.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Cross functionally to collect, compile, and analyse all relevant data / information for the Commercial SME product, including product’s competitive analysis, customer analysis, and / or market trend.
    • Provide country support for business analytics for Commercial SME 
    • Work as a member of the personal insurance team to achieve goals and deliver on strategic initiatives
    • Using data visualization tools for the purpose of ensuring company financial strength, regulatory compliance, and meeting profit objectives
    • Coordinate with others within and outside the department on various projects
    • Collaborate with local and regional Product teams, Finance, Marketing, Underwriting, Claims and IT, to ensure all useful data elements requite for monitoring, pricing and competitive analysis is complete, accurate, adequate, and timely
    • Lead the analysis of key metrics to evaluate the performance of the business
    • Collects and compiles other market / customer insights from internal and external sources, and ensures to leverage all relevant analyses to be utilized for product management efforts
    • Prepares and delivers robust market analytics to inform and guide decisions relating to new product developments and / or product revisions etc., in a timely manner
    • Works closely with local and regional product teams to ensure such business intelligence to be incorporated into attractive and profitable product development
    • Develop solutions and corrective action plans in partnership with product leadership with respect to short term and long-term portfolio strategies
    • Provide support in the development of products, pricing and rating plans, and risk segmentation strategies
    • Provide support to budget loss ratio estimates and financial planning

    What we are looking for

    • Proven experience as insurance business analyst and/or portfolio management using data visualization tools for the purpose of ensuring company financial strength, regulatory compliance, and meeting profit objectives
    • Must have insurance and/or financial sector experience within the pricing and actuarial space.
    • Previous Portfolio Management or Business Analytics experience
    • Experience with consolidating data and developing reporting metrics
    • Experience with local auto or personal property insurance
    • Skills with Excel, VBA and PowerPoint software is required
    • Skills with SAS, SQL or data visualization software such as Tableau/Qlikview is preferred
    • Continual and precise attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Effective time management and strong communication skills
