Develop asset and service strategies for 830E class (220t) fleet
Ensure these service strategies and tactics are governed centrally where applicable, and subject to the E&M Master Data Standards
Ensure operations produce 12 week and rolling 52 week plans and review for quality
Work with operations to maximise OEE and MTFB of these equipments
Work with site and Supply Chain to ensure replacement components are available for planned work
Coach and mentor site engineers and execution teams as needed
Report on deviations to the plan both from operations and Supply of components
Refine and develop reliability block diagrams (simulate and determine optimal component replacement strategy, costs, spares needed as stock) taking into consideration OEM recommendations and statistical life of components
Develop and share baseline asset tactics taking into account reliability block diagrams, asset strategy and OEM inputs
Conduct site visits in order to understand local conditions and planning procedures, etc.
Conduct community of practices with shared experiences, best practices and develop joint programs of work (Centre and Site improvements)
Conduct close discussions with OEMs concerning engineering improvements, changed guidelines and feedback from operations
Closely collaborate with SC on the purchase specifications for equipment and strategic planning with suppliers
Work with all other functions in E&M to ensure Asset Plans are accurate and replacement norms reflect best practices

Regular international and local travel will be required
Participates in Root Cause Analysis and Defect Elimination as required
Prepare centralised data set for owned fleet that feeds into E&M master data
Qualifications:
An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. Mechanical Engineering)
A postgraduate qualification (Masters / Doctoral degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline would be an advantage
Registered Engineer
Experience
10 years’ experience managing 830E equipment or similar
Sound working knowledge of 830E trucks
Demonstrated knowledge of operational complexities experienced as an engineer in a mining operation
Demonstrated maintenance and operational support experience
Solve technical and operational issues in cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
Implements the most effective solutions to drive efficiencies
Optimise productivity and quality targets through utilising Engineering knowledge and cooperating with multi-disciplinary teams highlight areas of improvement
Manage, monitors and drives project activities within a specific project or Operation
Demonstrable balance between theoretical mechanical engineering and practical mechanical system maintenance, operations and management
Proactively identifies, mitigates or escalate risks
In addition to English proficiency, Portuguese and/or Spanish language skills would be highly advantageous
