Principal Engineer: Dams and Hydropower at Knight Piesold

Knight Piésold is looking to grow the unit by appointing an enthusiastic, self-motivated, output oriented professional principal dams engineer with a proven background. This candidate will join our team and help build a positive and sustainable future together within a dynamic, quality driven working environment, focused on professionalism and technical excellence.

This is a principal level position and the candidate will report directly to the Section Manager: Dams and Hydropower.

This position is based in the Pretoria office, with work from home flexibility, but reasonable travel between different branches (for engineering liaison) and to project sites will be required.

Requirements

• A PrEng with more than 16 years’ experience in dam engineering
• Relevant tertiary qualification from an accredited university
• Proven experience in the Dam Engineering sector covering dam design and analysis, international project involvement, dam safety inspections, etc.
• Must have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work
• Be willing to travel (domestic and international).
• An advantage will be to have project management skills and APP registration.
