Job Description:
The role will co-ordinate the Kumba monthly performance management key areas. 

• Co-ordinate with Kumba BI an independent review of the site OMS to provide insight to Kumba EXCO and Governance over the process. 
• Support the Kumba wide Performance Management function, providing commercial insights and effective management reporting processes and own the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes at Kumba.
• Responsible for consolidation, analysis, reporting of the Kumba commercial performance.
• Responsible and accountable to the Manager Performance Management of Kumba for compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, and subsequent reporting.
• Monitor and review the monthly MOP/BSP data to ensure principles are applied – understand variances against these principles
• Communicate with Head of Finance & Executive heads of Operations & Technical in respect to these submissions with a view of understanding the Kumba view each month
• Develop reporting template for each site to ensure that performance review meetings highlight critical issues with a view to developing a plan to address these
• Put controls in place for the MOP/OMS system is used as it was intended and help with continuity of the process over time
• Coordinate Monthly Performance Reviews (MPR) and Quarterly Performance Reviews (QPR)
• Focus on a Full Year view with any risks and opportunities to be pursued
• Work closely with the ISOP team to identify risks and opportunities to Kumba from both an exports and domestic sales

This role is in the Kumba Head Office Finance Department at a Band 5 reporting to the Manager Performance Management

Qualifications:

• Degree + ACMA / CGMA and/or CA(SA) and/or similar financial training program  

Experience:

• Strong commercial operations experience
• Proven planning and control abilities
• Strong negotiation capabilities
• Proven experience in a senior commercial/financial analysis and management role in a large mining/resources company
• Analysis and benchmarking of financial/business data in a mining/heavy industry environment
