Principal Porter at Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness

REQUIREMENTS :

• Minimum educational qualification: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) / Grade 9 / STD7.
• Experience: Appropriate supervisory experience of staff and mortuary administration.
• Inherent requirements of the job: A Valid driver’s licence. Willingness to work night shifts, public holidays, weekends, overtime and be on standby.
• Competencies (knowledge/skills): Computer skills (MS Office, Excel and Word). Knowledge of applicable death administration legislations and relevant policies. Knowledge of infection prevention and control. 

DUTIES :

• Responsible for overall supervision and management of Porters. Management of mortuary equipment, assets and consumables.
• Ensure effective and efficient mortuary administration and handling of bodies.
• To provide an effective and efficient support to Support Services Managers.
