Our Principal Sales Engineer position is an elevated sales engineering role that combines consultative selling methodologies with high level technical engagement.
The role requires broad industry knowledge across multiple disciplines in cybersecurity and network infrastructure.
As an individual contributor you will work in a highly collaborative team. The successful candidate will be comfortable owning detailed technical requirements analysis and be comfortable with senior stakeholder influence and management.

Working closely with our sales team, the candidate will build and maintain strong relationships during the sales cycle, be a passionate contributor to sales success, and navigate both complex technology requirements and practical business outcomes at a tactical and strategic level.
The candidate will be a confident and experienced communicator who will represent Mimecast with professionalism. You will be responsible for opportunity strategy, solution positioning and exceptional customer presentations.
What you'll do
Assists sales and partners in the identification and qualification of opportunities.
Sets up, execute and report on evaluation events that provide proof of Mimecast's solutions and address customer needs
Assists sales in incorporating the results of evaluations into business cases
Total ownership of the technical sale of Mimecast products during customer and partner pre-sales activities.
Prepare detailed product specifications for the configuration and implementation of customer solutions
Ensures appropriate partner or professional services resources are recommended during the solution development.
Helps differentiation strategies for products against competitors.
Leads technical team in complex sales campaigns.
Expert in applying Mimecast strategy and technology to complex customer/partner requirements and opportunities.
