    Process Engineer

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • The Process Engineer role reports directly to the Process Architect. He/she should identify, analyse, design, and map the as-is and to-be business processes with the support of the respective departments using advanced process mapping tools. The process engineer should be able to use various process modelling methods to discover, model, analyse, measure, improve, optimize, and automate business processes.
    •  The Process Engineer would also need to analyse core business processes, identify the gaps, define the RACI (Responsibility, Accountability, Consult and Inform) matrix for process maps and generate process specification documents. The Process engineer would need to continually engage with its business stakeholders and ensure that the business processes are relevant and up to date on the process modelling tool. Process Engineer would need to constantly review/monitor process improvement activities for effectiveness in order to ensure sustainability and recommend changes when necessary.

    ROLE REQUIREMENT

    • Primarily involved in the identify, analyze, design, and map the as-is and to-be business processes.
    • Process Engineer / Analyst within Process Management
    • Collaboration with Process Analysts and Engineers within business areas.
    • Take initiative to constantly review/monitor process improvement activities for effectiveness.
    • Provides how-to-do guidance to colleagues and business stakeholders.

    Assume responsibility for the following:

    • Contribute in the implementation of Six Sigma, Lean and Continuous Improvement Initiatives
    • Responsible for the implementation of Kaizen principles
    • Ability and experience in mapping/modelling of business processes as well as improving and re-engineering business processes
    • Must be able to identify, analyse, design, and map the as-is and to-be business processes.
    • Able to use various process modelling methods to discover, model, analyse, measure, improve, optimize, and automate business processes.
    • Leading projects groups using project management and lean six sigma principles.
    • Reduce wastage (time & efforts) through the implementation of Lean principles.
    • Proven intercommunication skills and ability to interact on all levels.
    • Understanding and documenting the current(as-is) and future (to-be) business processes.
    • Analyse workflows/processes and identify the gaps and weak points.
    • Align and harmonize the business processes across subsidiaries, business areas and departments.
    • Define clear processes interaction (RACI- Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed)
    • Ensure improvement of Business Processes, use of process modelling methodologies and principles to encourage process modernization and optimization.
    • Pro at using Business Process Mapping software/tools.
    • Deployment and Implementation of Business Processes
    • Plan necessary change management activities to implement approved new or alternative Business Processes.
    • Ensure smooth integration of new Business Processes within the organizational structure and culture.
    • Ensure compliance and effectiveness of the Business Processes
    • Contribute in Business Process Audit for compliance and evaluate effectiveness and manage non- conformances.
    • Provide leadership and direction on continuous improvement to teams across the business areas.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Matric
    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualifications advantageous
    • 2-3 years IT experience across all disciplines in telecommunication, process analysts and/or business analysis practice.
    • Experience in modelling processes using the advanced BPM tools.
    • Methodological competencies primarily in the field of Quality, Project Management, Operations Management, Statistics, Audit and Business processes (BPM) analysis (essential)
    • Computer literacy (all MS Office packages viz. MS Visio, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Process Modelling packages etc.).
    • 3-5 years of qualified as-is and to-be business process modelling/mapping experience (essential)
