At least 1-year previous experience related to the maintenance and operation of filtration plants
Physically fit
Availability and willingness to work outside of scheduled working hours. Scheduled working hours to be in accordance with service demands and includes weekends and public holidays, as required.
Incumbents will also be required to work on a shift basis
Key Performance Areas
Executes specific procedures/instructions related to Filtration Plant operations are applied and complied with during the treatment or purification process.
Clearing and unblocking inlets, outlets, valves, filters and connections, removing debris using hand held tools (shovel, fork, etc) and pressurized water systems to remove/flush blockages.
Picking up litter and/or other items within the vicinity and/or sweeping walkways and common areas
Trimming and mowing the lawn/shrubs and/or removing overgrown vegetation using hand tools and petrol driven mowers and trimmers.
Attending to the safekeeping of hand tools and/or apparatus used in the process, applying laid down instructions and guidelines to avoid theft or loss
