Process Supporter at BMW Group South Africa

Purpose of the Job

• Constantly achieve daily  attendance, daily uph, production capability, expulsion rate and F1 DPR.
• Ensure quality targets in Body Shop achieved – RK, DYKO and drives optimisations.
• Ensure problems are contained and not transferred to internal or external customers.
• Is accountable to the Production Process Leader and in matrix to the Production Engineer.
• Ensure timeous execution of TPM and preventative maintenance to the right quality and ensure high levels of technical availability.
• Ensure safe working environment and adherence of the section to all safe working requirements and procedures.
• Ensure continuous process improvement to optimise resource usage, improve plant condition and improve ergonomics.
• Ensure high level of motivation amongst direct reports and associates in general.

Qualifications

• National Diploma (Technical).
• Qualified artisan would be an advantage.

Work and Leadership Experience

• Minimum 2 years in Body shop environment
• Minimum 1 year Technical /Trade experience.
• Minimum 1 year leadership experience would be an advantage

Additional Skills

• Level 4 Competency for all work operating packages.
• 1520/Problem solving process.
• VPS ( Process Board).
• CIP for area of responsibility.
• SAP ZPM01:PMS DSNR will be an advantage.
• SAP ZQM01 :DSNR will be an advantage.

Environment

• Assist management in achieving the Environmental (ISO 14000) targets and conform to all local legislation.
• Identify hazards and take action accordingly.
• Liaise with Health & Safety representative about issues of concern.
• Ensure adherence to PPE in team area.
• Ensure a clean environment by controlling housekeeping and hygiene.
• Identify and eliminate wasteful practices.
• Ensure adherence to the OHS Act of 1993.
