Job Description:

Your day-to-day duties will include:

Process monitoring – assist and support process supervisors to control and maintain efficient process operations:

• Reacting to abnormal activities and notification of such to the responsible person
• Assist in operating and roving of the process
• Match the process flow with the requirements of the next process
• Support team members if they require assistance
• Perform pre-operational inspections on equipment
• Assist with fault finding and problem analysis
• Follow instructions from supervisors carefully
• Apply effective open two way communication
• Operate communication tools
• Operate mobile equipment (Crane, forklift, tractor, aerial crane, etc.)
• Reports completed to required standards
• Complete safety inspections
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Adhere to and improved safety standards
• Report abnormal activities (hazards)
• Participate in safety meetings
• Identify risks and threats to the process proactively
• Complete data logging and reporting to standard
• Apply and understand process flow
• Carry out basic operational procedures as required/directed

Non-specialised maintenance of equipment related to role:

• Replace defective parts
• Ensure high standards of physical conditions in section
• Perform pre-operational checks
• Assist in breakdowns
• Safety, health, environment and quality Administration:

Reports completed to required standards

• Complete safety inspections
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Adhere to and improved safety standards
• Report abnormal activities (hazards)
• Participate in safety meetings
• Identify risks and threats to the process proactively
• Complete data logging and reporting to standard
• This role is in the Processing Department and is at a B2 Level reporting to the Shift Leader.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 – Maths, Science / N3 with 4 subjects (please submit all relevant qualifications / statements of results, or your application will not be reviewed)

Experience, Skills and knowledge:

• Computer literate
• Willing and able to work shifts and/or overtime as per operational requirements
• Medically fit
