Procurement Officer - Secunda at Proconics

Purpose
As a Procurement Officer, you will work closely with the Project Manager and the rest of his/her team in all aspects of ensuring that the goods/services are procured on time at the best price and best quality.  

Requirements

• RFQ process
• Negotiating prices
• Evaluation of quotations
• Process orders
• Understanding Preferential Procurement
• Building strong relationship with suppliers.
• Invoicing
• Expediting  

Qualifications/Experience

• To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

• BCom/ Supply chain Qualification or related degree/diploma
• Minimum 5 years of procurement /commercial experience
• Understanding of all facets of the procurement process
• Experience in administration of EPC Projects
• Good knowledge of the new engineering contract (NEC3) types of contracts,

Experience in one or more of the following fields will be advantageous.
