Product and Process Technologist Manager at Syndicate Personnel Specialists

About the Job
This role Is critical in identifying, developing and delivering the overall site priorities within a major FMCG Wet and Dry Plant,and plays a key role in identifying and implementing efficiency opportunities (value leadership, operational improvements).

Responsible for : 

• Project management utilising Six Sigma.
• Recipe Implementation and Optimization.
• Initiate and drive Technology Continuous Improvement .
• Process design – design, HACCP, commissioning and handover of new Process equipment
• Contributor and decision maker in FMOS forums
• Value leadership- Identification and implementation of Efficiency opportunities
• Level 2 troubleshooting in the area of Process and Packaging to resolve quality, capacity or raw availability issues.
• Initiate and drive Technology Continuous Improvement
• Provide Product and Process Technical support to Operations
• Execute complex problem solving and Support capability in Operations
• Site Implementation Lead SIL of New Products, Ingredients, Processes and Packaging material to ensure a seamless transition from a new concept to fully self-sustainable production.
• Drive continuous improvement of Product, Process, Raw Material and Packaging linked to the top losses and priorities of the Site .

Succesful candidates must have :-

• Chemical Engineering/ Food Science Degree, Engineering or equivalent, BsC or MsC preferred
• Experience in similar or related roles in the Food industry (Quality, Food Safety, Engineering or Product/Process development)
• Understanding of Food manufacturing processes
• Good understanding of Food chemistry, Organic and Inorganic chemistry
• Project Management Capabilities & Experience
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of statistical analysis, numerical modelling, and data analysis, preferably Lean, TPM and Six Sigma experience
