    Product Owner

    Job Summary

    An established lead generation and distribution business seeks an analytical and confident Product Owner to fulfill a pivotal role in the organization which has a direct influence on the company’s overall performance.

     

    You will be responsible for:

    • Working with other Channel Managers and stakeholders to understand the business requirements, decompose them into client requirements and oversee the product delivery.
    • Managing stakeholder’s expectations is key whilst articulating the overall vision and priorities for the product.
    • Finding angles for profit and growth on client, category, and business level
    • Ensuring daily volume and quality targets are hit
    • Defining strategies to improve gross profit and strategies for account management / sales team
    • Providing input for new business
    • Allocating budgets for internal departments
    • Sourcing and onboarding affiliates/ suppliers
    • Finding new channels and ways to market
    • Ensuring campaigns go live seamlessly on specified dates
    • Weekly commentating on volume, financial and quality reports

     

    Three important elements of the job function:

    1. VOLUME management – Manage the volumes between the client budget and the targets that the client wants to meet.
    2. CONVERSIONS – The conversion is a measure of quality and clients use this to determine the budget allocated. Higher conversions lead to more budget. Determining the balance between the cost per lead and the conversion potential will determine where leads are obtained.
    3. PROFITABILITY – The aim is to reduce costs and increase earnings

     

    Requirements

    • Relevant tertiary qualification
    • Excellent stakeholder and relationship manager experience
    • Relevant job experience within the insurance industry
