Required Skills
Diploma or equivalent qualification.
NQF 2 Dairy Primary Processing training
Experience in managing a team.
Food Safety System related training
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of production processes and operations
Ability to have a good mathematical acumen
Accurate stock counting and controls of materials
Practical working experience on production machine equipment that is PLC controlled, be familiar with HMI (Human Machine Interface panels), SCADA, WW or similar and being able to navigate through various levels of menus with confidence
Exposure to food processing will be an advantage
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
The work will include shifts, overtime and working on public holidays
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee daily production operations, including scheduling, planning, and organizing.
Monitor production schedules to ensure that orders are filled on time and in full
Control production losses and efficiency by minimizing waste
Supervising and motivating the relevant production team.
Ensure that regulations and product quality to the highest standard.
Minimizing and eliminating non-conformance through process and quality improvements.
Problem solving by determining root cause of failure and take the necessary corrective action.
Developing and training of operators, machine attendants and general workers.
Ensuring control records are correct and updated.
Controlling of product and technology innovation.
Ensure that good hygiene practices are adhered and maintained.
Ensuring the application and adherence of FSSC2200 & SHER.
