    Production Superintendent - Drilling

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    1. Implementing and managing resource plans for areas of responsibility and communicating monthly and weekly production targets; and monitoring and offering technical guidance to Supervisors to ensure the safe delivery of production targets.
    2. Managing resource capability, allocation, utilisation and driving productivity to deliver the targets.
    3. Measuring the performance of Supervisors, providing guidance and coaching through the implementation of good standards and best practice.
    4. Ensuring adherence to Legislation, Policies, Procedures, Standards and Operating Procedures in areas of responsibility.
    5. Engaging relevant stakeholders to solve operational problems in areas of responsibility as necessary.
    6. Tracking previous blast performance and changes in geological conditions when designing drilling plans together with the Mining Engineer and signing off on the plans.
    7. Accepting drilling areas from other mining teams.
    8. Ensuring that the correct drilling plans are uploaded.
    9. Overseeing and ensuring that drill preparations and block standards are correct.
    10. Measuring and reporting on actual drillings versus planned to the Mining Engineer (depth and location) and reporting on any deviations such as breakthrough holes and re-drills.
    11. Inspecting the block and ensuring that it is in order for blasting and formally handing over to the blasting team.

    About you:
    To be considered for this role, you will meet the following minimum requirements:

    • Minimum Qualifications And Experience
    • Either a Grade 12, Surface Blasting Certificate for Coal Mines and a minimum of 5 years’ experience at a Production Supervisor Level; ORA relevant tertiary qualification, Surface Blasting Certificate and a minimum of 2 years’ experience at a Production Supervisor Level.
    • Driver’s license Code EB (08)
