The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is a department of the Government of the Western Cape, responsible for providing public healthcare to the population of the Western Cape province of South Africa.

Professional Nurse Grade 1 to 2 (Specialty: Psychiatry)
- Job Type Full Time
- Qualification Bachelors , Postgraduate Diploma
- Experience 4 - 14 years
- Location Western Cape
- Job Field Medical / Healthcare
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic R425 qualification that allows registration with SANC as Professional Nurse
- Post-basic nursing qualification with duration at least 1 year in Advanced Psychiatric Nursing Science (R212) OR 4 year Bachelor Degree + postgraduate diploma (R635) in Mental Health Nursing
- Registration with SANC as Professional Nurse
- Grade 1: 4 years / Grade 2: 14 years experience with at least 10 years in Psychiatry after obtaining post-basic
DUTIES:
- Provide optimal, holistic, specialised psychiatric nursing care within set standards and professional/legal framework
- Manage efficient utilisation of resources
- Participate in training, research, quality assurance
