Professional Nurse (PN B1 - PN B2) ICU at Free State Department of Health

Requirements:

• Diploma /Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as Professional Nurse.
• Grade 1: A minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
• Grade 2: A minimum of 14 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Nursing qualification with a duration of at least 1 year post basic in Medical and Surgical Nursing Science in Intensive Nursing accredited with SANC.

Duties:

• Provide, ensure and supervise effective and efficient patient care through adequate nursing care in the intensive care. Coordinate and monitor the implementation of nursing care plan and evaluation thereof. Participate in the formulation, implementation, analysis, of nursing guidelines, practices, standards and procedures.
• Maintain constructive relationships with nursing and other stakeholders. Manage and monitor proper utilisation of human, financial and physical resources. Provide relevant health information to health care users to assist in achieving optimal health care and rehabilitation of patient. Training and professional development. Maintaining of physical and electronic records.
