    Requirements:

    • Matric, plus Diploma/Degree in nursing that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse plus post basic nursing qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment and care (Primary Health Care) with duration of at least 1 year accredited with SANC.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 10 (Abet level 3/0 or equivalent qualification. A qualification in building/ civil/ plumbing, electrical or carpentry will be an added advantage. General maintenance experience will be added advantage.

    Duties:

    Operational Manager(Primary Health Care)

    Requirements:

    • Matric, plus Diploma/ Degree in Nursing that allows registration with the SANC as a General Nurse & Midwifery plus post basic nursing qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment and Care (Primary Health Care).

    Duties:

Monitor and evaluate the performance of primary health care services and systems within the designated services area in line with public health indicators, set norms, standards and targets with a view to report thereon and to initiate corrective action timeously. Analyse health policy and programme imperatives with a view to develop customised implementation strategies to guide the primary health care service providers in the service area towards complying with the stated norms, standards and targets.
    • Identify transversal 'primary' health care and systems barriers (including emerging health trends in the service area) with a view to ensure corrective action at an appropriate level. Ensure and monitor that primary health care services within the designated services area are provided with adequate support by multi-disciplinary teams attached to the CHC / district hospital as well as from shared corporate service providers attached to the mothering institution. Ensure an integrated approach with the implementation of various primary health care programmes to provide a seamless service delivery platform, including the prioritising of needs within the service area and the allocation of resources accordingly.     • Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse. Registration with SANC as Professional Nurse with Midwifery

    Duties:

    • Demonstrate an understanding of nursing of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices. Perform a clinical nursing practice in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards as determined by the relevant health facility.
    • Promote quality of nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards as determined by the relevant health facility. Demonstrate effective communication with patients, supervisor and other clinicians, including report writing when required. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure good nursing care.
    • Work effectively, co-operatively amicably with persons of diverse intellectual, cultural, racial or religious differences. Able to plan and organise own work and that of support personnel to ensure proper nursing care. Display a concern for patients, promoting, advocating proper treatment and care including awareness and willingness to respond to patients' needs, requirements and expectations (Batho Pele).

    Professional Nurse (PN-A2)

    Requirements:

    • Matric, Basic R425 qualification i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse. Current registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse for 2025/2026 .
    • Grade 1: Experience: None after registration with the SANC as Profession Nurse.
    • Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse.
    • Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse. Registration with SANC as Professional Nurse with Midwifery

    Staff Nurse

    Requirements:

    • Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Staff Nurse/Enrolled Nurse.
    • Grade 1: None after registration with the SANC in the relevant Staff Nurse as a in respect of South African qualified employees who performed Community Service, as required in South Africa as a Staff Nurse/Enrolled Nurse.
    • Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse/Enrolled Nurse.
    • Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse/Enrolled Nurse Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse Computer Literacy

    Duties:

    • Ensure maintenance of patient hygiene · Sustain nutritional status of patients· Facilitate the mobility of patients· Facilitate the elimination processes. Measure, interpret and record vital signs· Operate all relevant apparatus and equipment· Assist professional nurses with clinical procedures (i.e. administering of intramuscular injections) ·
    • Preparation of patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures. Effective utilizations of resources· Order stock and equipment in a cost-effective manner · Report loss or damage immediately. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development · To maintain the code of conduct as required in the Public Service and by the Professional Body· Seek learning opportunities, i.e., in-service training, courses.
