Professional Officer - GIS Systems at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• A relevant BTech/Bachelor’s degree
• 3 to 4 years working experience in GIS or related field
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in business applications with GIS components

Key Performance Areas

• Build and configure GIS applications and Geodatabases (Solution implementation and configuration & Web/Map service publishing)
• Support and maintain GIS applications (Geodatabases and GIS script)
• Communicate, collaborate with relevant stakeholders and document (document build and configuration enhancement)
• Adherence to compliance with legislation, corporate policies and standard operating procedures
• Address audit queries and vulnerabilities timeously and put the necessary controls in place to avoid future audit findings
• Define and test disaster recovery procedures for the GIS systems and ensure back-up procedures are executed as required
