Provide strategic capability and leadership by developing operational targets in support of tactical delivery plans and organisational strategic objectives in partnership with divisional leadership
Contribute to the development and implementation of an operational strategy for the business area in alignment with the divisional objectives
Ensure the effective implementation and integration of programme management frameworks, tools and systems
Develop and execute an efficient internal communication strategy for effective communication with all levels of management within the department
Set realistic operational targets in support of tactical delivery plans and organisational strategic objectives in partnership with divisional leadership
Implement the designed mutually beneficial contract negotiations, relationships, management and administration of agreements
Establish and manage strategic internal and external relationships inclusive of customer, service provider and relevant legislative agencies and structures
Manage an administrative function to meet predetermined requirements, ensure that organisational demands are met in the short to medium term
Partner with next level managers and specialists in the process of design and compliance and implement associated practices, processes and standards
Scan external environment to identify and take advantage of new knowledge of related acts, regulations and regulatory frameworks to improve results
Implement risk management, governance and compliance policy and processes
Monitor and enforce effective financial control, corporate governance and financial compliance
Deliver on service level agreements that are aligned with Batho Pele principles and ensure customer satisfaction
Job Requirements
B Degree in Built Environment, Project Management or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering consulting, construction, project management or similar environment
A valid driver's license
Registration with the SACPMP or certification by PMI or relevant professional body will be advantageous
The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
Candidates may be requested to submit proof of the NQF level applicable to the qualifications they have obtained.
