    Main Purpose of the Role:

    • To be accountable for end to end Delivery Management, from concept to benefits realisation, by leading multi-skilled BSG teams of varying sizes, through a collaborative and delivery focused approach. BSG teams, that span the capabilities of Strategy, Data Science, Technology, and Analysis & Design.
    • Deliver strategic change, through the outcomes of complex Project Portfolios and Programmes, that are insightful and pragmatic within both our clients Customer/Business interface, and Core Operating Platforms. Change that leverages international benchmarks, fused together with the reality of the local context our clients businesses operate within. So that, in partnership with our clients' delivery teams, we collectively deliver the benefits and outcomes that are beyond the reach of ordinary people.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Relevant Tertiary Degree: e.g. BBusSci, Bcom Information Systems/Informatics (Honours), or BSc Eng, BEng
    • Certifications: e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, PMBOK and /or Agile related training (e.g. SCRUM or equivalent experience)


    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5+ years business or technology management consulting
    • In addition, 3+ years of dedicated Project Portfolio & Programme Management
    • Delivery of Transform initiatives
    • Delivery of Grow initiatives
    • Mutli-channel digital technologies (incl. cloud based)
    • Complex core operating platform technologies
    • Leadership of multi-disciplined/skilled delivery teams
    • Executive level stakeholder management


    Job Objectives:

    • Custodian of the WHY (drive the business case) in complex programmes or project portfolios, spanning multiple capabilities and/or disciplines
    • Deliver results, taking initiative to get the job done as per the business case, together with the required management of change within complex stakeholder ecosystems
    • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving abilities (from a customer-centric, fact-based perspective), to guide both multi-skilled delivery teams and client stakeholders, in achieving value driven results and intended benefits
    • Build key and meaningful client relationships as well as ensuring the effective delivery of appropriate communications to all stakeholders
    • Quality assurance and delivery oversight to ensure successful execution of the teams efforts, and fit for purpose adoption of the outputs
    • Drive both client demand and support the relationship sales process

    Delivery and reputational risk management

    • Increase the depth of knowledge within the delivery team, and guide solutioning
    • Coach and mentor intermediate consultants to grow skills and drive effective delivery
    • Career facilitation of BSG team members in support of their growth and development
    • Profile BSG at community events in support of building the BSG brand to attract talent and build a further pipeline of client opportunities


    Skills and Abilities: 

    • Business case and benefits management
    • Advanced programme, project portfolio planning and management
    • Various planning techniques and principles (incl. scope and effort estimation)
    • Customer insights & ethnographic research principles 
    • Stakeholder management and effective communication (at all levels)
    • Applying appropriate project governance (MSP, Prince2, PMBOK) 
    • Product/System development methodologies (Agile, Lean, SDLC, SCRUM)
    • Processes, information & technology modelling methods
    • Problem solving/innovation and critical thinking 
    • Workshop facilitation (all stakeholders)
    • Business writing skills
