    Project Coordinator: Graduate Recruitment

    Duties/Pligte        

    • Organising and managing the annual graduate recruitment programme, particularly the annual career fairs.
    • Managing contract staff during the graduate recruitment programme.
    • Advising employers on the best way forward to address their needs and deciding on a recruitment strategy.
    • Publishing the annual graduate recruitment programme.
    • Co-managing the third money stream income of the UGCS.
    • Managing communication and marketing of career opportunities to students via mailshots with job opportunities and career resources to targeted student groups.
    • Assisting with recruiting representatives for panel discussions and networking events such as Career Khulumas.
    • Collaborating with student bodies, faculties, and departments to promote UGCS networking services.
    • Collaborating with faculties and academic departments to arrange World of Work events/presentations.

    Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes        

    • Bachelor's degree/advanced diploma in Industrial Psychology, Recruitment, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
    • At least three years' relevant experience in graduate recruitment or HE career services.
    • A strong understanding of recruitment and selection processes.
    • Proficiency in social media and marketing.
    • At least three years' experience in organising exhibition/career network events.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and another official South African language (bilingual proficiency preferred).
    • Strong computer literacy and information management skills.
    • Organisational, presentation, and conflict management skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
    • Good project management skills
    • Computer skills in the MS-Office environment.
    • Soft Skills: 
    • Detail orientated.
    • A strong student-centred approach. 
    • The ability to connect with students, academic staff and company representatives.
    • The ability to work under pressure.
    • The ability to work effectively in a team. 
    • Effective time management skills.
    • Interest in the national and international world of work developments. 
    • Strong ethical orientation.
    • A proactive and collaborative mindset.
    • Good networking skills.

    Recommendation/Aanbeveling        

    • Proficiency in career services platforms and digital tools, e.g. LinkedIn, Symplicity, Everlytic.
    • Experience in multidisciplinary cooperation.
    • Experience in rendering services within a higher education or post-secondary education training systems environment.
    • Experience in organising career events.
    • Experience in service delivery to a diverse client population.
    • Public speaking and facilitation skills.
