Purpose of Role:

• Position reports to the Market Area Manager and is responsible for selecting, quoting, troubleshooting and promoting all company and Valves products to domestic and international sales channels.
• All activities will be focused to expand company product market share into key growth markets in Africa.
• Achieve project objectives by compiling projects proposals; conferring with management.

Brief Description of the Position:

• Prepare engineering proposals
• Interaction with clients confirming needs and requirements
• Review status of deliverables and initiate corrective actions
• Assist customers with feasibility studies
• Coordinate activities ensuring timely completion of projects
• Establish new and maintain existing client relationships
• Record and maintain client contact data
• Support marketing functions i.e. attending trade shows etc
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
• Site evaluation and pump installation problem solving
• Compiling tender documents
• Comply with and enforce all company policies and procedures
• Assist fellow employees with daily functions as and when required
• Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time

Inherent Requirements

Education:

• Technical and/or Commercial Degree/Diploma (Minimum NQF 6)

Experience:

• 5 Years experience in Project Sales

Requirements:

• API and chemical pump knowledge
• Pump selection and application knowledge
• Engineering sales experience
• Complete and finalize tender documents
• Key account responsibilities
