Project Executive at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose    

• Provides a centralised overarching project management service across all professional and technical disciplines within eThekwini Transport Authority.

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Provide a professional service within an operational/ legislative framework.
• Participates in key strategic projects.
• Responsible for the Units learnership programme.
• Co-ordinate the Occupational Health and Safety requirements across the Unit.
• Responsible for the continuous monitoring and improvement of ABM.
• Perform cost effectiveness studies in conjunction with the Head eThekwini Transport Authority and his/ her Deputy Heads.
• Develop a performance management system for eThekwini Transport Authority.
• Provide an infrastructure for service improvement to users of eThekwini Transport Authority
• Unit process.
• Liaises with other members of Government on special projects and protocol matters.

Essential Requirements    

• Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering (NQF Level 7) in Civil Engineering.
• Registered as a professional Engineering Technologist with the Engineering Council of South
• Africa (ECSA).
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• 6 years relevant experience of which 5 years must be post registration.
• Computer Literacy.
