Provide project management support to the department, monitoring and reporting on implementation and progress of decision made
Manage a functional unit within a division that is accountable for the delivery of set objectives within specified time frames and costs
Effectively assess, intervene and mobilize support interventions for allocated programmes where necessary
Anticipate problems and resolve them timeously in order to ensure that work outputs are achieved within agreed deadlines and standards
Ensure that SOP's, processes, procedural guides and quality service standards are developed, maintained, understood and implemented
Establish, implement and manage operational governance and risk management processes in the context of organisational policy
Ensure effective operations management service delivery within the division, ensuring compliance with the Batho Pele principles
Provide assistance to develop monthly and annual budgets and financial and non-financial reports in accordance with statutory and Council presentation requirements
Job Requirements
B Degree in Built Environment, Project Management or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an engineering consulting, construction, project management or similar environment
The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
Candidates may be requested to submit proof of the NQF level applicable to the qualifications they have obtained.
