Project Officer at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose    

• To ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of Electricity's portfolio of ICT Projects and administer all aspects of multiple projects.

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Assists in preparation and maintenance of projects plans.
• Undertakes the administration of project support, controls project plans and on closure of project, assists in provision of reports and reviews.
• Assist in developing, maintaining policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
• Exercises complete control of projects in progress as assigned by the Project Manager and undertaken by the division.
• Liaises with other managers and service units within eThekwini Electricity.
• Keeps abreast of changing technology.
• Acts and responds to client/potential client enquiries in a professional manner.
• Provides a complete secretarial and clerical service to business analysts.

Essential Requirements    

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 2 Years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements    

• Degree (NQF Level 7) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field.
• 3 Years relevant experience.
