Project Officer: Standards & Labelling at SANEDI

• The Energy Efficiency Programme requires a project officer to support the Standards and Labelling programme component. The position will be coordinating and implementing the different components and day to day activities of electrical/electronic product energy efficient research, policy, communications and any other responsibilities required.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• A minimum of a National Diploma in Engineering / Environmental Sciences / Public Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Energy Policy Sector.
• Technical project coordination, administration and finance experience.
• Event coordination and delivery.
• Local and International stakeholder engagement.

Job Knowledge and Skills Required

The incumbent must demonstrate knowledge of:

• Energy efficiency policies and government initiatives
• Energy efficiency and sustainability
• Project management support
• Technical report support with proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Good communication skills
• Administrative skills to manage all administrative requirements
• Good report and minutes writing skill
• High level of problem solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrate interpersonal and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication abilities
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels within the organisation and outside the organisation
• Ability to write and present technical information clearly
