Role Responsibilities

• Planning and managing the development of pursuit and proposal documents.
• Coordinating and managing contributions from subject matter experts and support services, according to strict timelines which includes plan, structure, format, create/write, edit and proofread content for documents.
• Facilitating workshops and/or discussions about differentiators, win themes and key messaging in support of the development of compelling documents.
• Creating proposal and content designs in MS Word and PowerPoint and brief graphics team for more specialist graphic support to ensure that win themes and key messages are reflected in our designs.
• Contributing to the development of commercial offers.
• Sharing knowledge and contribute to the Winning Work library of information.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Matric or Equivalent.
• Degree or Diploma in communications, marketing, journalism, humanities or related disciplines would be highly beneficial.
• Minimum of 3 years or more experience within a proposal related environment preferably within engineering, construction, finance or consulting.
• Experience in working within a donor funding environment beneficial.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities or deadlines.
• Eye for detail and compliance.
• Excellent writing and editing skills. Exposure to technical writing beneficial.
• Good eye for graphics and ability to create well designed documents in MS Word and PowerPoint a must.

Desired Skills and Experience
Candidates will be tertiary qualified coupled with ideally a minimum of five years' experience in working within a corporate proposal environment.

• Suitable candidates have strong editing, time management and document production skills - especially in managing large and multiple documents; as well as the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines. This role requires someone who can work autonomously as well as part of a team; and who can communicate effectively and efficiently to drive the coordination and production of high quality and compliant proposals. Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite is required.
