Provincial Social Media Officer - Western Cape at Democratic Alliance

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing a positive branding image on the province’s social media platforms
• Creating, maintaining and increasing the social media footprint across the province
• Communicating the Party’s successes and expanding positive media in the province 

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent 
• Qualification in journalism, marketing or similar (advantageous)
• 1 year of experience in social media management, particularly using Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp
• Editing, proofreading and copywriting experience
• Content creation experience (advantageous)
• Brand management experience (advantageous)
• Photography and videography experience (advantageous)
• Graphic design skills or experience (advantageous)
• Proficiency in at least two official languages, in addition to English
• Computer literacy, particularly MS Office suite
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for occasional business-related use
