    Public Affairs Manager

    Position Snapshot
    Primarily leverage the Creating Shared Value business principle as a strategic tool to position and build Nestlé ZAR’s reputation in the minds of key stakeholders in the market. To build and leverage partnerships with the media to profile CSV and company initiatives. Contribute towards building a positive image of the Public Affairs unit as a strategic advisor to the business.

    A Public Affairs Manager at Nestle

    • Integrated Public Affairs Plans: Provide meaningfuland robust inputs towards the development of the Public Affairs strategy to create and maintain a favorable public image of the organization and develop annual corporate CSV and communication plan in alignment with relevant departments in the organisation. This plan should incorporate the planning and implementation of key programmes in line with the global strategy including the environmental sustainability programmes in line with market sustainability plans.
    • CVS Project Implementation: Working closely with Group Executive for Public Affairs, manage and implement all CSV initiatives as ariticulated by the company's strategic objectives regarding positioning. Manage engagement with internal and external stakeholders and ensure broad awareness of our key initiatives and milestones through consistent external and internal reporting on CSV. Help conceptualise new programmes that are alig
    • Media Relations: Media Relationship Building, Planning and Monitoring: Identify opportunities for CSV profiling specifically in community based media. Ensure on-going media presence of CSV initiatives in the media. Leverage other relevant digital platforms to profile and ensure visibility of CSV in the market (Social Media platforms, company website and The Nest). Develop press statements for all CSV initiatives and events. Develop and keep an updated and consolidated list of all media contacts. Ensure updated and readily available lists for each of the different areas we deal with in the business.ned to the business and that can contribute towards community development to profile the business in the market.
    • Partnerships and Stakeholder Management: Identify and build solid mutually beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders towards the realisation of objectives in pursuant of pur CSV ambitions.
    • Reputation and Risk Management: Working closely with the Group Public Affairs Executive and other key internal stakeholders, identify risk areas and develop a risk barometer and plans to manage reputation and position the company amongst its key and potential stakeholders and contribute to the development of position statements.
    • Speech Development and Research Reporting: Research trends in all CSV related areas and advice the business accordingly. Develop speeches for senior management for key CSV events and activities. Develop opinion pieces on development in line with Nestlé's development policies and CSV business principle

    What Will Make You Successful

    • Bachelor Degree or Diploma level of education
    • 4 - 6 years Communications experience and experience working in a corporate environment
    • 5 years previous work experience in other areas
    • Experience of collaborating and working in different business functions
    • Research and Writing Skills critical
    • Project Management skills desirable
