QSR New Business Developer at Macdonald & Company

Job Summary

As you will be the only person championing property network development for this exciting new venture, you will need to have significant experience in QSR and a hefty network of landlord / developer contracts throughout South Africa. With the administrative and market planning support of the established real estate team which focuses on larger format offerings, you will be free to be “out on the field,” leveraging your broad-ranging network and delivering on the growth strategy which in in place.  Keeping your finger on the pulse, you will be tasked with conducting market analysis to ensure that you are sourcing and securing the best sites in line with the company brand in a timely manner. Part of your day-to-day, will also include negotiating leases or purchase agreements, ensuring compliance with lease terms, collaborating with the construction team throughout the store development process and overseeing any property-related projects (e.g., renovations, expansions, etc.), ensuring town-planning compliance, managing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of stores as well as developing and managing related budgets. 

Requirement

• Gathering no moss, you will be expected to travel nationally and as such your permanent location could be any major city in South Africa. In your arsenal alongside a black book of both small and large landlords, you will have at least 5 years' proven experience in a QSR tenant representation role as well as a qualification in property, business, hospitality or a related field.
