About the Role

• The Quality Controller at Audi Sandton is responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet the established quality standards. This role focuses on evaluating the quality of materials and processes throughout the production cycle, implementing improvements, and ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Identify and report any quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with production teams to establish quality control procedures and best practices.
• Document quality control processes, inspections, and observations accurately and comprehensively.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Assist in training staff on quality control practices and procedures.
• Prepare quality reports and dashboards for management review.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of inbound materials meets Audi's standards.

Requirements

• Proven track record in quality control or assurance within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and tools such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and develop effective solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
• Effective communication skills, capable of conveying quality standards to team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in quality management or a related field (e.g., CQI, CQA) is an advantage.
• Experience with quality management software and tools.
• Familiarity with automotive industry regulations and standards.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
