Quality System Specialist at Nestle

A day in the life of a Quality Systems Specialist:

Leadership

• Coordinate all activities related to the setup and maintenance of the Factory Quality Manual.
• Ensure that Quality instructions and procedures are updated.
• Develop a Quality System Audit team and audit plan
• Ensure that audit plan is carried out.
• Ensure that all corrective actions are carried out in time.
• Inform and update the Management on all activities and trends pertaining to the Quality Management System.
• Assist in the preparation of the factory MRQ.
• Assess the effectiveness of the corrective actions.
• Ensure improvement and performance of the Quality System is assessed.

Technical

• Establish and maintains the chemicals and laboratory equipment according to strict rules (internal control plan) and tracks the performance of the analytical methods in use through method performance monitoring applications (QSTAT) and regular proficiency testing (P-tests).
• Ensures reliable results as per ISO 17025.
• Define and oversee Maintenance of GLP, ICP, SOP, including procedure drafting.
• Use control checks and monitor through QStat.
• Co-ordinates participation in Nestlé Proficiency tests and other recognized proficiency test schemes.
• Maintenance of resources: keep track of supplier performance (chemicals/gases/glassware/instruments, consumables).
• Perform operational buyer role within NQAC to ensure good housekeeping of all orders.

What will make you successful?

• Diploma/Degree in Chemistry or Quality Management
• 3 years’ experience in Quality Systems, preferably in FMCG
• Previous experience in Leading ISO 17025 Audits.
• Being a SANAS Technical Assessor would be an advantage
• Working knowledge of HPLC/UPLC and ICP-OES.
• Experience in developing training Material.
• Detailed knowledge of NQMS and NQS, Corporate Operating Quality Manual and instructions
