Job description
Key Responsibilities

•  Outputs required to perform the task to obtain the desired deliverables.

• Familiar with Blasting Concepts and Procedure
• Good Sandblasting Technique
• Working within Confined Space Environment
• Working at Heights
• Storage of Tools
• Communication and Understanding of Instructions
• Sound Interpersonal and Communication Skills

Knowledge:

• Operate & Sel Pressure Gauges to correct Blasting Pressure as per requirements
• Knowledge of identifying Hazardous Condition and Situations
• Knowledge/ability of alerting Supervisor and Workforce of any potential dangers identified at Sandblast Area
• Understand, read, write and communicate in English
• Basic understanding of Transformers and Components
• Understanding of Work Processes and SHEQ Related Regulations applicable to Area of Responsibility
• Disciplinary Procedure
• Grievance Procedure
• PFMA Regulations

Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):

• Grade 12/NQF3

Experience:

• 1 years Sandblasting experience
• Exposure to working in an Engineering /Production Environment and Sandblasting of big components will be an added advantage.
