    Re-Advertisement Senior Officer - Strategic Planning

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • A relevant National Diploma/ Degree in Strategic Management, Public Management, Public Administration, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • A Postgraduate qualification in Strategic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, or Public Management will be an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in strategic planning, institutional planning, institutional performance or monitoring, evaluation and reporting, preferably within the public sector or TVET environment.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Valid Driver's Licence.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    • Sound knowledge of strategic planning, institutional planning, and institutional performance frameworks.
    • Understanding of the public sector regulatory environment, including PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and relevant policies and guidelines.
    • Knowledge of Annual Performance Plans (APPs), Strategic Plans, Operational Plans, and performance reporting processes.
    • Understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) principles, performance indicators, targets, and evidence management.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and report on performance data.
    • Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Coordinate and support the development, review, and implementation of the College's Strategic Plan, Annual Performance Plan (APP), and Operational Plans.
    • Facilitate  institutional planning processes, planning workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
    • Monitor and track institutional performance against approved plans, indicators, and targets.
    • Collect, analyse, and consolidate performance information and evidence for reporting purposes.
    • Compile and submit quarterly and annual performance reports in line with legislative and departmental requirements.
    • Support the implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) systems and frameworks.
    • Coordinate the management and verification of evidence portfolios for audits and evaluations.
    • Provide support during internal and external audits, including AGSA and DHET processes.
    •  Identify performance gaps and risks, and recommend corrective actions and improvement plans.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and reporting timelines.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning and performance management records and databases.
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to strategic planning and performance reporting.
