Job Description

• A leading organisation within the logistics and distribution sector is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Reconciliation Controller for a contract opportunity based in Midrand.
• This role would suit a hands-on finance professional with strong reconciliation and accounting experience who is confident working in a high-volume environment and meeting strict month-end deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
• Perform bank, payroll, debtors and inter-company reconciliations
• Investigate, follow up and resolve reconciliation queries and variances
• Prepare monthly consolidated bank reconciliations
• Perform inter-company balancing checks
• Process journals and payroll-related payments
• Raise and follow up on month-end accruals
• Assist with treasury and cash management functions
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of reconciliations and payments
• Resolve outstanding items and ensure financial records remain accurate

Requirements

• Matric
• Accounting-related tertiary qualification
• Minimum 1-year relevant accounting/reconciliation experience
• Strong balance sheet and reconciliation experience
• Experience with month-end accounting processes
• SAP R/3 experience advantageous
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
• Strong numerical and analytical ability
• Excellent attention to detail
• Assertive, deadline-driven and able to work under pressure
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
