Records Management Officer (P9) Ref: AA32 Three-Year Fixed Term Contract at Mangosuthu University of Technology

Key Performance Areas:

• Effective and efficient implementation of the institutional records management system.
• Administration and maintenance of digital storage systems.
• Provide support on the use of RMS.
• Communication and attend to enquiries.
• Customer-focused and oriented records management system.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Information Management and/or Archival Studies.
• 3 years’ experience in the records and archives management, preferably in a higher education institution.

Competencies:

• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of records management and procedures in higher education environment.
• Knowledge of the National Archives and Records Service of South Africa Act 43 of 1996.
• Knowledge of the Protection of Personal Information Act of 2013 (POPI Act).
• Knowledge of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA)
