Recoveries Consultant at Hollard Insurance

    Job Purpose:

• The consultant will be responsible for a portfolio of recovery claims, of which the majority will be against insured entities. The objective of the role is to secure as high as possible recovery settlements at as high as possible recovery ratio.

Key responsibilities:

• Secure the set number of settlements per month.
• Secure the set payments of settlements per month.
• Finalize all claims due for finalization.
• Ensure completion of and maintenance of data accuracy.
• Align daily to reporting and data completion requirements.
• Effectively manage diary system.
• Continuously update and maintain file and claim records.
• Maintain a strong industry network.
• Collaborate and work closely together with others thereby leveraging constructive team dynamics and
• Aligning own behavior with the organization culture and
• Achieve own performance
• Actively participate in own professional development and career
• Proactively ensuring use of time, of resources, money, materials or equipment is in line with policies and

Required Knowledge and Experience    

• 3 years of short-term insurance experience
• 3 years short term insurance motor or nonmotor recovery and liability claims experience
• Strong delictual- and merit evaluation competency.
• Arguing and negotiating skills – both verbal and written.
• Data accuracy and consciousness.

• Intermediate excel skills

Educational Requirements    

• Matric
• LLB / BCom LLB / Any other Legal Qualification
• Admitted Attorney advantageous
