Refrigeration Technician - Roodepoort at South African National Blood Service (SANBS)

Key Performance Areas:

• Undertakes the maintenance, repairs and installation of all refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment respond emergency calls for both SANBS and NBI
• Undertakes the Repairs and Testing of Equipment
• Undertakes Routine Checks of Refrigeration Installations and Equipment for SANBS and NBI
• Undertakes Routine Maintenance and Repairs of Refrigeration and Equipment for SANBS and NBI
• Ensures that Tools are cleaned and maintained
• Ensures that Administration is undertaken effectively and efficiently

Minimum requirements

Qualification:

• Grade 12.
• Refrigeration Certificate.
• Driver’s License.
• Diploma in Refrigeration and passed the Trade test.
• Registered Refrigeration Practitioner.

Experience:

• 5 years’ experience in refrigeration and Airconditiong since Qualification

Other knowledge:

• Understanding, knowledge and application of the relevant SANS legislation regarding HVAC &R industry
• Knowledge of SHEQ regulations and legislation in the work area.

Special Requirements:

• Overtime as and when required and travelling when necessary.
• Performing on call duties on a roster basis.
• Travel to various sites for planned and corrective maintenance.
