    Regional Sales Manager

    Job Purpose

    We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to manage the team of Acquiring Sales Consultants to deliver Card Acceptance services to bank clients and achieve team results thus contributing to achieving the banks strategic objectives, financial results and market share. Our Nedbank Card, Payments and Transactional Business Unit looking for Senior Sales Professional to provide Sales and Service leadership. In this role you will be required to manage, build and grow acceptance sales, while improving client retention and profitability of the Region.     Job Responsibilities

    • Source new business, increase acceptance turnover and profitability of the Region by building tailored payments solutions, to secure a disproportionate share of the merchant market in the KZN Region, including integrated, digital and ecommerce card acceptance solutions across industries, corporates, medium sized businesses and small business
    • Grow the client base, increase merchant commission revenue, and rentals income whilst reducing attrition across the business
    • Oversee the Regional Sales team to achieve team results thus contributing to achieving the divisions strategic objectives.
    • Develop and deepen client relationships and key merchants acquiring clients
    • Ensure compliance with Card Association and Banking Regulatory, Audit and Risk
    • Provide client, product and competitor insights to product management teams to ensure on-going innovation, competitiveness of solutions
    • Collaboration with bank channels, external service providers, fintechs and integrators to jointly create merchant acceptance solutions
    • Reduce fraud and chargeback drivers through on-going merchant training and education
    • On-going Training, Development and retain skilled staff in sales areas
    • Ensure healthy employee culture within the regional sales team underpinned by the organisational values to drive performance and execution excellence

     

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

     

    Preferred Qualification

    • Relevant Bachelor Degree or Diploma.

     

    Minimum Experience Level

    • Minimum 3 - 5 years managing a sales team, preferably in Card Acquiring environment, with exposure to the range of experience identified above.
