    Regional Sales Manager

    Role purpose:

    • Responsible for Leading the partner account managers to drive mobile KPI’s across the dedicated partner and account base, maintain the partner relationships and ensure partners drive Vodacom business strategic pillars.
    • The Regional Manager drives the Vodacom business strategy and the penetration and sale of business products and solutions with Gauteng business partners as well as the strategic development and growth of the partner base.
    • This includes development of strategies in order to meet and exceed annual sales targets and key mobile KPI’s, management and motivation of the partner account team, performance management of partners and assisting with growing partners to sell the widest possible range of business products and solutions from Vodacom Business. The Regional Manager will also focus on driving Vodacom Business sales within the Gauteng retail stores to ensure that the stores drive VB product sales and meet the set VB sales targets. 

    Your responsibilities will include:
    Deliver sales, revenue, and key KPIs against detailed budget:

    • To deliver on key sales KPI’s – mobile activations, revenue, churn, upgrades, simple fixed connectivity and in contract KPI’s in order to achieve and exceed the detailed budget for the year  
    • To advise and assist in budget planning  & forecasts cycles for each quarter and the new financial year

    Design, develop and execute operational sales plan:  

    • Clearly define and develop a detailed sales strategy outlining the sales account plans, forecasts and pipeline management for the partner & account base, to ensure that all the sales targets can be achieved. Constantly evaluate the strategy to determine effectiveness
    • Manage the day-to-day activities of the sales team, lead the team and keep your team on track to achieve overall sales targets, KPI’s and strategic channel goals
    • Drive the key strategic goals of the channel across the partner base
    • Maintain and grow partner relationships with the partner base
    • Leadership and teamwork: Work together with the sales team and other managers to develop action plans and ensure partner account strategies are executed upon

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:
    Must have technical/professional qualifications: 

    • Matric with a minimum of 5 years experience in sales, and partner management and/or account management 
    • A qualification in Sales, marketing or commercial (B. Com/Business Science Degree or Equivalent qualification) with at least 6 years sales experience

    Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

    • Clear understanding and experience in mobile sales
    • Knowledge related to the Telecommunications Industry and specifically Mobile and Mobile sales
    • Proven track record in managing business partners and driving sales with partners 
    • Understanding of  business landscape and various business segments
    • Experience in leading a sales team
