    Reporting and Analytics Manager - Sandton

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Business Intelligence and Analytics

    • Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics
    • Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analyst and data employees and effective collaboration with stakeholders
    • Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables
    • Support technology to build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions
    • Manage the demand cycle and effectively prioritise key initiative and team backlogs to ensure delivery on time, in budget and to a high quality.
    • Build an analytics competency across the organisation, to truly build an insights led organisation
    • Work closely with Data management team to ensure accuracy and trust for analytics products

    Stakeholder Management

    • Analyse key stakeholder expectations and develop appropriate strategies to work with them
    • Lead cross-functional projects using data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide decisions and uncover optimization opportunities
    • Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders across the business
    • Develop and implement quality controls and standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements are met for analytics competency
    • Partner and collaborate with Technology to establish a data tooling roadmap that is fit for purpose for Blue Label

    Request Management

    • Ensure that Reporting & Analytics requests are handled according to the Service Level Agreement (SLA), using the organisation workflow tooling
    • Respond to queries from business functions timeously
    • Identify issues and use the agreed escalation route in a timely manner if an issue should arise
    • Provide proactive, quality service in alignment with service management standards and service levels

    Leadership

    • Through effective inspirational leadership, facilitate the creation of accountable, full service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders
    • Role model behavior and motivate team members in line with the core values
    • Take full responsibility for performance of all direct reports, motivating and managing them in relation to quality standards and agreed benchmarks and objectives, focusing on all aspects of sound people management
    • Provide support and guidance on career path planning, on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring to direct reports
    • Develop, promote and direct the implementation of equal opportunities policies in all aspects of the company’s work
    • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities

    EDUCATION

    • Matric
    • Relevant Bachelors Degree

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 7 years' experience in similar role
    • Microsoft Power BI experience essential
    • Microsoft Navision working experience (Advantageous)
    • MS SQL knowledge advantageous
